If you have followed along the past year or so you know that I have completely rebranded business and really found my aesthetic. When I first heard about branding, branding sessions, know your three words etc. I was in over my head and honestly had no idea what they all meant, and it became very overwhelming.

However, when I sat down and really took a look at my business and where I wanted it to be I then began shape and form my rebrand. When rebranding I had to realize that not everyone might understand what it is I am doing. I actually had people say ” you just seem confused ” Rebranding is actually the exact opposite of confusion, it is knowing 100% what you want and being confident in that. I began to see my future cliental and what they looked like, I began to envision what my work as a whole would look like. Now I just needed to create a branding shoot and get a team to bring my vision to life.

Once I did my branding session it opened my heart with a desire to bring other creative’s dreams and visions for their business to life! And let me tell you, I forever grateful for all of these businesses that have trusted me in this process.

If you are interested in rebranding or just branding your business in general here are some things I would suggest :

1. Envision your future client. What does that look like for you?
2. Here are those three words.. find three words that BEST describe you and your business. These words will most likely be on the front page of you  website.
3. Find two to three fonts that you like. These will be used everywhere! Your website, your business cards, marketing material etc.
4. With your fonts, you will also want colors. What colors best represent your brand? For example, when people see grey and a gold wax seal I want them to think Amanda Callaway Photography. This is what you will see in my packaging.
5. Find a photographer you connect with! This is someone you may not have met yet, but by seeing their work you already trust them!

Now keep in mind, that photographer may not be me, and that is okay!  I hope these tips were able to help you with the process of branding. If you feel that you have questions about rebranding and are interested in my branding sessions I would LOVE to help you and talk with you further.

This was a Branding shoot done for Gavita Flora These ladies hold a very special place in my heart, and I am so thankful we crossed paths at a wedding back in September in Carmel, Ca. Meet twins, Krista( right)  and Briana (left). Krista is the lead Floral Designer and Briana is the lead Event Designer within Gavita Flora.

Krista and Briana came to me wanting their images for their introduction page and welcome packet. They also expressed that wanted dreamy and light images with mostly white and neutral tones. When the inquiry came in, I was  one hundred percent on board!

Creating magic for these ladies was such an honor! Bringing Branding sessions on board for Amanda Callaway Photography is something that I don’t regret one bit. The relationships that I have made with fellow creatives I am forever grateful.
